The City of Pines: My Out of Town Journey

Hi there! So, how's your Monday everyone? I hope great. Me? Just spent the weekend at Baguio. So cold at 14 degrees Celsius. I almost lost my nerves every time I have to take a bath, (like I have to stare at the water for about a minute or two for me to get to my nerves again!) then SCREAM to death.

Just want to share my experience on how my escapade to Baguio made my weekend a week ender. By the way I'm from Quezon City, so I just took a bus at Cubao Victory Liner at 9am. Buses route to Baguio from this terminal part off every hour or two. Actually, there are a lot of buses that you might see along SM North Edsa heading to Baguio. The fare was not so high (but i think it depends on the type of bus that you pick) for about P350.00 (if you're a student-better bring your ID's) to P450.00 (if you can't produce a student ID). We had 2 stop overs where you can buy foods and use some restrooms. It took us 6 hours of travel from Manila to Baguio (good thing the bus has its own WIFI) we arrived there at exactly 3pm (very hungry).

So first things first, we started to find a lodge! I'm not picky though when it comes to lodges. Damn so cold that we just can't stand a minute staying outside along Session Road. We found this Hotel 45 near SM Baguio where we stayed for 2 days. Rate for 2 pax for usual and casual room is 800.00 / day. Extra charge of 250.00 for extra person of course.

The journey goes on. We did not waste our time. We just ate our dinner at the hotel then after that we decided to find a place where we can drink and just be happy.

Urban Session Grill is
also near Hotel 45
Session Road - Urban Session Grill
Urban Session Grill- Session Road

That night we hopped at Urban Session Grill along session road.  The drinks were affordable and the

foods were also great- fine, i must say. They also have those "Banda"
that sings OPM songs! I just so damn love this place. Relaxing.
After that we went to PURPLE, just beside Urban Session. The difference is just in Purple they have an entrance fee (P50.00) I had a blast. I felt that I'm the queen of the world, that feeling that no one bothers and will bother you.

The road becomes more lively as the dark approaches. Streets are filled with colorful lights and fun seeking people combining the cold breeze that made our night.

The next day, voila! It rained!!! But the
weather and the fog did not stop us in stepping outside the jungle.

Cold? Nah. Just for the sake of this photo.

Oh My G! Am I still in Baguio? So cold.

Freezing! C'mon let's ride with the fog.
(By the way we rent a car for P2,000.00. The driver also took us to the famous tourist destinations here in Baguio for 1 whole day -not bad.So better bring  lot of your friends to lessen the ambagan portion)

And these are the places that we've visited for our 2 days stay at the City of Pines

The Mansion

Me in front of the gate.

That's the far view of  The Mansion, but I think you can get closer enough or may enter the house only if you buy that "badge" thing that the guards were selling in front of the gate that costs P50.00.

Wright Park

I've never seen such thing before. Does anyone know what kind of specie is this, standing right beside me? Never heard that pink pony do exists, but AHA I've seen one!

The park is just across The Mansion . Never mind me.
Just trying to take some jump shots. Unluckily i just ended up
jumping and looking like a dork.

Mines View Park

That's how the entrance looks like.

Of course the princess would not allow herself to miss a ride with her pink pony!

There is a very small spot where you can enjoy the
vista of looking down the mountains. Sadly no more
of the good views that I'm expecting though.

Yea. The St. Bernard dog. But there are a lot of them now at the park.
Like all of them wearing glasses, except for this one.
